We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your data, contact us at: info@themeetingplacekitchen.com.

2. What information we collect

• Table bookings: When you book a table through our website, the booking is made through OpenTable. Information such as your name, email address, phone number, party size, booking date and time, and any special requests or dietary requirements you provide is collected by OpenTable and shared with us so we can manage your booking.
• WhatsApp enquiries: If you contact us through WhatsApp, we receive your name (as shown on your profile), phone number, and the content of your messages.
• Website usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our website, such as pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, and approximate location. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Advertising data: We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). If you accept Advertisement cookies, it collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed, actions taken on our site, your IP address and device and browser details. We use this to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show our ads to relevant audiences.
• Google Maps: Our website displays an embedded Google Map. When the map loads, Google may collect information such as your IP address and how you interact with the map.

3. How we use your information and our legal basis

4. Marketing messages via WhatsApp

We may in future send promotional messages (offers, news and events) by WhatsApp. We will only do so if you have clearly agreed to receive them. We will not treat a booking or enquiry on its own as agreement to receive marketing.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any of our messages, or by contacting us at info@themeetingplacekitchen.com. We will stop sending you marketing messages promptly. We may keep a record of your opt-out so that we respect your choice.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Hostinger, which hosts our website and processes data on our behalf.
• Other IT service providers who process data only on our instructions.
• Authorities or advisers where we are legally required to do so.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK’s approved transfer mechanisms.

6. How long we keep your information

• Booking information held by us: 12 months after your booking date, unless we need to keep it longer for legal or accounting reasons.
• WhatsApp enquiries: 12 months after the last message.
• Marketing contact details: until you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete them. We will review our marketing list at least every 2 years.
